Crime Fiction Reader's new blog

Crime Fiction Reader is now making an excellent job of blogging about the Hay-on-Wye Festival for the BBC. The photos really add to her words.

I looked at sitemeter earlier and noticed a mini-flood of links from here - nothing like the major flooding in real downpours of water at the Hay site - so I rushed here to see why. Thanks for the link and the comments!

Pictures - the bane of my weekend - as I hit "memory full" on pic number seven yesterday evening. While listening to Catherine Tate on stage talking about Shakespeare, it suddenly occurred to me that I had not re-inserted the memory card after a previous trip to the print shop. Doh!

This came after I arrived early afternoon, expecting to change into wellies. No need, said the lady at the overflow car park. I got out of the car and noticed - for the first time - that my left shoe came from one pair of loafers and my right from another. Slightly different colours, slightly different shape, definitely different soles with the right not suitable for mud. But I managed to remain on my feet! (With no trips onto my arse...)

A friend says I can be dizzy and should have been born blonde. I told him I was born blonde. My roots seem to remain active in this matter. Or is it my age?

Whatever. (Blame that one on listening to Catherine Tate for an hour.) Thanks for the link and the appreciative comment. Now I must go to bed as I'm setting the alarm again for 6am with two sessions, specifically on crime fiction to go, tomorrow morning. I'll be sad when it's over as it's been fun.

And ooh, the salacious gossip to be had at Hay...
